Dealer Ordering now Transferred to
DealerOrders.com
World of Powersports has completely re-designed the DealerOrders.com
website and will begin requiring dealers to process all orders on the Dealer
Orders website beginning around 13 February 2008.
We recommend you start using the website immediately; and only fall back to
World of Powersports website if you have trouble on DealerOrders.com. Please
make sure to use the Contact Us page if you have any problems and email us
immediately so we can resolve the issue.
New Features at DealerOrders.com
Dealer Only Access:
The new website requires users to be logged in, and have 'dealer' account
with World of Powersports, or another DealerOrders vendor. This allows us to put
additional 'Dealer Only' references and notes on the website, and provide
information that consumers would not have to have access to.
Discontinued Parts Listed in Shopping Cart:
We have been able to obtain a limited list of part numbers that have been
discontinued by the manufacture. DealerOrders.com will provide notice of Honda,
Yamaha and Suzuki Discontinued items. When these part numbers are placed in your
shopping cart they will now appear with a discontinued notice. No longer will
you place orders for items only to find out that evening that the items were
discontinued. You will now know BEFORE the order is processed and these items
will not be ordered in our system! You may either delete these items from the
cart before placing the order; or leave them in the cart. Either way we WILL NOT
process these items on your order.
Large Items Listed in Shopping Cart:
We now have some weights and dimensions for parts that are over 100 lbs or
over 130" Length + Girth. Since dealer freight is charged when the order is
packed, many times the high shipping prices on these items mean a dealer has to
cancel the order or lose money on the item to fill his customer's order. We DO
NOT have weight and dimensions for all the items listed, probably less than 10%
of them in fact; but we will continue working on this list of items so that you
can be sure to cover your additional shipping costs.
Back Ordered Items Listed in Shopping Cart:
We aren't completely tied in with the suppliers inventory yet; but we are
getting there. This will show any part that we already have on order for another
customer that is on backorder, as well as any item reported to us by the
manufacture as out of stock. You will still get email notice if you order this
item and it is placed on backorder.
Additional References added to Catalog Page:
Make sure you look at all the links on the Catalog and Fiche page. We have
added better information on service manual part numbers, oil and lubricant part
numbers and links, as well as other off-site resources.
New Contact Us Page:
The old Contact us page was emailed to the store's parts department and
sometimes took 3-4 days to get to wholesale for a response. The new DealerOrders
contact us page goes directly to wholesale department. We will soon be addition
additional functionality that will require you to choose the type of request so
that your email goes directly to the person most able to assist you.
New Import Order File Type Added:
We have added a new 'text type' import to our import file page. The new
format allows you to either key in dozens of parts at once, or copy and paste
from emails and other websites into a text box that will then allow you to add
the items to the express order page, and prepare quotes or process an an order.
Coming Soon
New Return Authorization / Adjustment Interface:
We are developing a completely revised Return Authorization and Adjustment
page that will make requesting, approving and tracking your return request.
Additional Integration with Manufacturers:
We are working to tie the website in with all of our suppliers inventory,
current pricing, images and other useful information.
